If currency values look different when you open a CSV in Excel, check the import and number-format settings. Excel uses its current default data-format settings when opening a CSV directly, so changing spreadsheet apps is not a guaranteed fix.
Instead of opening the file directly in Excel, you should try creating a new excel file and importing the downloaded CSV into it.
