How to Convert a URL to PDF

How to use the Convert Webpage to PDF on Airtable Automation.

The 'Convert Webpages to PDF' automation allows you to turn a URL contained in an Airtable field and transform its content into a PDF file.

All URLs need to be publicly accessible since this automation does not have a way to log in to any restricted sites!

Set up the automation

  1. Create the Convert Webpages to PDF automation, then select your Airtable base and table.

  2. In Airtable, prepare a URL or text field containing a complete webpage URL, and an attachment field for the generated PDFs.

  3. Set Input Field to the field containing the webpage URL. Set Output Field to the attachment field where the PDF should be saved.

  4. Limit the run to a view containing one or two sample records, then run the automation. Open the resulting PDF and check that the page content you need is present.

Before processing more records, review the existing-data handling setting, especially if your output field already contains files.
