How to show a URL or formula field as an attachment

Using this feature, you can display a URL or formula field as attachments using the URLs stored in the fields, as if those attachments had been uploaded directly to Airtable. This approach can help you conserve storage space. To set this up, you need to:

  1. Select the URL or formula field.

  2. Only for URL fields: Turn on Read only toggle

  3. Go to Advanced section

  4. Turn on Display this field as an attachment.

Make sure that the URL is publicly accessible for this feature to work.

Display this field as an attachment cannot be enabled at the same time as Display this field as button or Render this field as HTML code. Turn off both settings before enabling attachment display.

Certain URLs that contain queries will not support downloading the file from the preview screen. This is an expected limitation.
