How to upload attachments in bulk to Airtable and match them with their respective records?

Automatically match your attachments with their respective Airtable records using a field as the unique identifier.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

With our Bulk Upload Attachments to Airtable automation, you can upload multiple attachments at once and match them to records in Airtable based on a unique identifier.

How to use:

  1. Select the Table: Choose the table you want to work with.

  2. Choose a Unique ID Field: Select a unique identifier field in your table to match the attachment names with the corresponding records.

  3. Select the Attachment Field: This is the field where the matched attachments will be stored.

  4. Choose whether or not to use partial matching. Partial matching allows you to upload multiple attachments per records, by appending additional characters in the file name, e.g. Test1.jpg, Test.png, Test2.jpg would all match to a record whose Unique ID is "Test".

  5. Go to the Upload Attachments section, and either select multiple files or drag and drop them.

Once the automation runs, you’ll see a summary of how many records were successfully matched and any that failed.

Note: This automation is available for testing on the free plan, but it is limited to processing one record at a time.
