The Bulk Download Attachments automation allows you to download all attachments (images, PDFs, etc.) from a specific Airtable field in one go. This automation provides flexible options for downloading and organizing your attachment files efficiently.
You can download the contents of the attachment field from all records in a table or a specific view within a table.
You can rename files during the download process and organize files into different folders for better management.
Working with Multiple Attachment Fields
If your table has more than one attachment field, there are two ways to handle the downloads:
Merge Fields First: Use the Merge Airtable Attachment Fields automation to combine multiple attachment fields into one, and then run the Bulk Download Attachments automation on the merged field.
Multiple Automations: Alternatively, you can set up several instances of the Bulk Download Attachments automation, each targeting a specific attachment field individually.
Performance
This automation has been tested with thousands of attachments, ensuring reliability even with large data sets.

If the files in the attachment field do not have a file extension, you will receive this file extension when attempting to download them using our automation.
Why am I getting a "Failed to fetch" error with the Bulk Download Attachments Automation?

This issue can occur when there is an ad blocker on your device that is blocking the download. Try disabling your ad blocker, or using a different browser that does not have an ad blocker.
Can I select multiple attachment fields?
Can I select multiple attachment fields?
Not directly. Currently, it's only possible to select one field at a time. You can, however, use our Merge Airtable Attachment Fields automation to first merge your target fields into one and then set the Bulk Download Attachments automation up to download the merged field.
The download starts then it's stuck with no further progress.

The Bulk Download Attachments automation has no fixed file size limit, however extremely large downloads can cause issues.
If you're having issues like this, you can try the following:
1. Divide the records
Break down your table into multiple batches using the view filter option and trigger the download for each view separately. The lower file size might increase the success rate of downloading the files.
2. Rename attachment files
If some of your files are missing their extensions (e.g .pdf), try renaming your attachments first.
