If your workspace is on one of our legacy plans you may have noticed that there have been some changes. Below are some answers to questions you may have:
What has changed?
Your legacy workspace no longer supports the creation of new extensions or automations.
What about my existing extensions?
Everything you’re using currently will continue to function just like before. You will still be able to use and edit all of your extensions and automations. You do not have to move anything.
Do I need to upgrade my existing plan?
No. You are not facing any price increase on this existing workspace! You can remain on your legacy plan and keep what you already have set up for the exact same price.
What if I need to add more extensions?
If you ever plan on creating a new extension or automation in the future, you have two options:
Create a new workspace based on one of our current plans: This is the recommended option since it is the far better deal for the majority of our customers.
Upgrade your legacy plan to one of our current plans: While this is technically possible, this is not recommended for most users since it would likely be more expensive for you than the first option. Have a look here if you'd like to see the upgrade options:
Do I need to pay you twice now?
Technically no, but for the majority of our legacy users keeping the legacy subscription with their existing extensions and getting a second subscription for any new extensions is the far cheaper option. If you absolutely do not want two separate bills, you can switch your existing plan to one of our current ones, but this would likely result in a big price increase, so we encourage our users to keep their legacy extensions where they are, on the same plan. The only case where it makes sense for you to switch your existing plan to a new one would be if you have only a few extensions.
Can I just change the plan on my existing workspace to one of the current plans?
In theory, yes you can. However, unless you have a low number of extensions this is likely not in your best interest, which is why we don't suggest this to the majority of our legacy users. Instead, you can keep all existing extensions in your legacy workspace, and only add new ones to a new workspace.
Can I create a new extension if I delete or disable an existing one first?
Unfortunately not. You cannot create new extensions on the legacy plan, regardless of the number of remaining extensions in your workspace.
Why did you make this change and why are the new plans more expensive than my legacy plan?
Yes, our legacy plans are more affordable than our current options. We've made these changes to our subscription plans to support the growth and sustainability of our services. This helps us continue providing high-quality offerings and invest in improvements that benefit all our customers.
Why didn't you let me know beforehand that this change was happening?
While we usually aim to keep our users informed about impending changes, we made the strategic decision to not do so in this case.
