You can automatically email contacts from your base using the Send Emails for Airtable Records automation. This tool lets you send messages based on Airtable data without leaving your workflow.
You can set the following fields:
Email field: The email field that will be used to send the email to the user.
Email Subject field: The email subject field that will contain the subject of the email that will be sent to the user.
Email Body field: The email body field that will contain the body of the email that will be sent to the user. This must be a formula field.
Email From (Optional): The name that will be used as the sender of the email. If left blank, the name will be "miniExtensions".
Email Sent Field: Create a checkbox field to mark if the email has been sent and select it here. This field will be updated to true once the email has been sent.
CC Source (Optional): You can add CC'd recipients either in a static way (all emails have the same CC) or based on an Airtable Field (each record could have a different CC).
CC (Optional)/CC Field: Define the CC'd addresses, or the field containing the CC'd addresses. Separate addresses with commas or semicolons.
BCC Source (Optional)/BCC (Optional)/CC Field: Same as for CC, but with BCC recipients.
Attachments Field (Optional): You can select an attachment field here. Any file included in the field will be attached to the email. A maximum total file size of 25MB per email applies.
You can also set this up to only run on certain records, using the filtering feature!
Tracking email status
By turning on Track Email Events you can check the status of already sent emails, e.g. sent, delivered, opened, clicked. For this to work, you need to set the Message ID Field and Email Status Field.
The status will only be checked during automation runs! Therefore, to get the latest status of your already sent emails, make sure to re-run the automation with a view set under Filtering that includes previously sent emails. You can automate this process by scheduling the automation.
