How to search by QR or barcode in a portal or interface

You can allow users to scan QR or barcodes within a portal or interface to search for existing records. This can be activated by going to:

  1. The table's settings

  2. User Actions section

  3. Make sure Search bar is enabled

  4. Turn on Allow QR code scanning to find records

Now, a camera icon will appear in the search bar. Clicking it will bring up the device's camera ready to scan the code. Once scanned, the view will be filtered to only show matching records.
