Create the Add/Remove PDF Password automation, then select your Airtable base and table.
In Airtable, prepare an attachment field containing the PDFs and a different attachment field for the processed copies.
You can use our 'Add/Remove PDF Password' automation for this use case. It allows you to add passwords to PDF files in bulk, and can also make an attempt to remove existing passwords.
Password removal is currently experimental.
To set it up:
Choose the Mode
Add Password
Remove Password
If adding a password, set the Password
Select the Input Field (PDFs)
Select the Output Field, where the processed files will be stored
The password entered in Add Password mode applies to all PDFs processed by this automation.
Limit the run to a view containing one or two sample records, then run the automation. Download and open the processed copy to verify the result. Keep your original PDFs; password removal is experimental and may not work for every file.
Before processing more records, review the existing-data handling setting, especially if your output field already contains files.
