How to link the portal user to a record with a click?

An option is available to automatically connect the user to a record when submitting the child form. To configure this feature:

  1. Make sure that login is enabled in the portal

  2. Go to the Portal Tables section

  3. Open the child form of one of the tables

  4. In the Fields section, make sure that the linked record field that is linked to the User's table is available.

  5. Click on the linked record field.

  6. Go to the Advanced section

  7. Turn on the Add-only mode toggle

  8. Auto-fill the field with logged-in user record toggle will appear

  9. Turn on the Auto-fill the field with logged-in user record toggle

Additionally, it's important to configure the custom view to display all records in order to make full use of this functionality.

You can enable this feature in the portal by going to:

  • Step 3: View Records

  • Select the linked records field

  • Linked Users
