We offer different automations that can manipulate images in Airtable:
'Compress and Resize Images': This automation can compress and/or resize images stored in Airtable. HEIC files can be processed but will be converted to JPG. These files will not cause an error, but the resulting image will be identical to the source image.
'Rotate Images': This automation is used to rotate images stored in Airtable. HEIC files can be processed but will be converted to JPG. These files will not cause an error, but the resulting image will be identical to the source image.
'Cloudinary Image Editing': This automation is extremely powerful for image manipulation, including AI-assisted tools for background removal, upscaling, cropping and countless other transformations!
To prevent accidental degradation or loss of your original files, you cannot select the same field for input and output fields for the 'Compress, Resize, or Rotate Images' automation.
'Compress and Resize Images' and 'Rotate Images' are the same automation behind the scenes. They are included as separate shortcuts on the 'Create Extension' page for convenience. Selecting either shortcut will turn on the appropriate functions out of the box.
