How can I analyze attachments using AI?

Add an OpenAI API key, if you don't have one in your workspace already.

Select the OpenAI API key in the automation's settings.

Optional: Add System Instructions to guide the model's behavior.

Choose whether to use a static, or dynamic prompt based on an Airtable Field. A static prompt will be the same for all records (e.g. 'summarize this document'). A dynamic prompt will take the prompt from the value of a field (e.g. formula field containing further context), so it can be different for each record.

Set the Prompt, or Prompt Field.

Add Attachment Fields containing files to be analyzed.

Set the Output Field, where the model's output will be stored.

Choose whether or not to overwrite existing data.

Run the automation.
