How to build an Airtable formula using conditions

Choose conditions and copy the resulting formula into Airtable.

The Formula Builder turns conditions you choose into an Airtable formula. Use it when you want a formula that checks whether a record meets a set of conditions, without writing the formula yourself.

Setup

  1. Create a Formula Builder in the miniExtensions workspace and Airtable base containing your table.

  2. In Formula Builder, choose the Table whose fields you want to use.

  3. Add a condition by selecting a field, the comparison you want to make, and a value when the comparison requires one. Add further conditions if needed, choosing whether all or any of the conditions should match.

  4. Open Formula Result and copy the generated formula. If you see a message asking you to add conditions, return to the builder and add at least one condition first.

  5. In the same Airtable table, create a formula field and paste the result into its formula editor.

  6. Check a record that should match and one that should not. Adjust the conditions if needed, then copy the updated formula into Airtable again.

The copied formula uses the field names from the selected table. Use it in that table, or adapt its field references before using it elsewhere. This tool generates a formula; there is no batch run or schedule to configure.
