How to autofill today's date/time in a form

I want users to click a link to record arrival time. Auto-fill and submit. We want to get the exact time that the field is updated.

To automatically fill today's date (and time, if enabled for the field in Airtable) when a date field is empty:

  1. Click on the field to open its settings

  2. Go to the Advanced section

  3. Turn on Auto fill field to today by default when empty.

This feature is off by default for newly added date and date/time fields.
